A step-by-step recipe to make the immensely flavorful fried chicken

Whenever we try our hands-on cooking either the fried chicken and the cajun chicken, we are often afraid of wasting the chicken pieces since we are not sure whether we will be able to come up with the right flavours and techniques. Here in this blog, we are going to tell you the step-by-step recipe for making the fried chicken:

Step One: Choose the right cuts

The first step is to start with the choice of the chicken. Usually, people stick with dark meat. Dark meat is one of the most flavourful kinds of milk.

Make sure that you are flattening the chicken.

Step Two: Seasoning

In this step, the chicken is supposed to get seasoned. As far as the seasonings are concerned, you are supposed to put the following in the chicken:

  • Kosher Salt

  • Black Pepper

  • Garlic Powder

  • Herbs and spices

  • Mustard Powder

  • Paprika

  • Chilli Powder

  • Cumin Powder

  • Cayenne Powder

Step Three: Seasoning of the flour

As far as step three is concerned, then it involves dredging the chicken in the flour. But make sure, the flour in which you are dredging the chicken should be properly seasoned with the different herbs and spices.

Step Four: Let it rest

Sometimes doing nothing means doing everything. Once you have coated the chicken in the herbs and spices, then let it rest for a few minutes.

Step Five: Fry the chicken

After the chicken has rested for a few hours, then it is time for you to fry the chicken. Take a deep bottomed vessel and put some oil in it (Preferable: fill the oil up to ½ inches).

Note: It is the cast iron skillet that is considered ideal for frying the chicken.

Step Seven: Continue With frying

Try to flip the chicken once one side of the chicken is nicely fried. It approximately takes 7 to 10 minutes to fry one side of the chicken nicely.

Step Eight: Put the fried chicken on the wired rack

In this step, you need to put the fried pieces of the chicken in the wired rack. The main benefit of doing that is the chicken will get o drain nicely, so that your taste buds just only have to taste the fried and crusty version of the chicken and not the soggy one which is surrounded by an oily layer.
