Do you know what is your comfort food or guilty-pleasure food?

Well! Mine is fried chicken. Crispy, tasty, and crunchy chicken dipped in the best sauce makes it even more perfect. Whether you are trying cajun chicken or any other chicken type, our menu has got everything covered for you. In this blog, we have mentioned the 5 top tips to make the tastiest fried chicken.

Tip 1: Take the bird out from the fridge

Before you fry the chicken, make sure that you take it out 1 hour before. The use of cold chicken will simply affect the taste and it will take more time than required. Due to this, the chicken will be undercooked and this is not what you want to have. So, make sure that you let the chicken sit on the counter for 1.5 hours

Tip 2: BRINE, Make sure to BRINE

Many people like to bring their food and with chicken, it is of utmost importance. Whether you are preparing it for Thanksgiving Turkey or pork chops, it is an essential step to be done. With brining, it will add moisture, and this way it will not get dry so easily.

To brine the chicken, you need to do that with buttermilk brine. In addition, you need to season the chicken with kosher salt, black pepper, and keep that in a bowl. Then add buttermilk with it and let it sit in the fridge overnight. Make sure that you add in the spices as per your taste.

Tip 3: Make sure to heat it and regulate it

Make sure that you use oil only when it is at the right temperature. If the chicken is too cold, then it will swim, it will take excess time to cook, and soak it all up. Make sure that it should not be too hot as it will burn the chicken bread and it won’t be undercooked.

When you add in the chicken pieces the temperature will drop, so make sure the flame is only turned on when it is needed. You should not lower the temperature.

Tip 4: Let it air out

You should not place the chicken on the paper towel to soak the excess oil. Here’s what you need to do. Use a cooling rack, and keep the sheet tray & then allow the chicken to cool down properly. This way the air will flow from the chicken and it will cool down. Do this and this way the bread will not get soggy.

What are the sauces you can try with fried chicken?

  • Ranch Dressing

You can buy the store bottle brand or powdered mix or buy from the chicken joint from where you are buying the chicken.

  • Cilantro Lime Dip

For this, you need to finely mince 1 small bunch of cilantro and 1 garlic clove. Add both of these in the bowl, juice 1 lime, and 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt. Into the same, you need to add olive oil and serve with your chicken.

  • Peanut Sauce

It is extremely popular at Asian joints and for that, you need 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter, 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce, 1 teaspoon rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon honey, and juice from 1/2 lime. Then, you need to whisk all of them together and add in water, to make the right consistency.
